Subaru reported that domestic production fell 15.3% year over year in July 2026 to 45,432 vehicles. At the same time, overseas production increased 6.1% to 24,432 units, showing a contrasting performance between its Japanese and overseas operations.
The company's total global production declined 8.9% during the month, while exports from Japan increased 3.9%. Subaru said Japan sales also increased 2.6%, providing some support as the company adjusts its production footprint and responds to changing demand in major markets.
